School councils are to assist principals in: Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school Reviewing the annual school building budget Formulating a school improvement plan In addition to these goals we will review the handbook for improvements and additions. If you are interested please email me your name at jskane@medford.k12.ma.us. We are required to hold elections if there are more interested individuals than we have seats on the council. Thank you for your consideration in serving as part of this important role in our school community.
September 27th WIN Block Activities Fair
The Andrews Middle School Club and Activities Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 25th during our WIN block (period 3). This will be a time for each of the grades to cycle through the cafeteria to learn about and sign up for the clubs and activities that you might be interested in pursuing this school year. The McGlynn Middle School will also hold their Club and Activities Fair on the same date. Andrews Middle School students are encouraged to visit the McGlynn Middle School fair on Wednesday afternoon from 2:20-3:05 to see if there are activities that you are interested in participating in that take place at that school. On the afternoon of September 25th, we will also invite the McGlynn Middle School students to our school to see the array of clubs and activities that we offer.
Club and activities will take place Tuesdays- Thursdays during the school year. Students who participate in clubs may take late bus transportation which has already begun and we encourage students staying after school to visit the Club and Activities fair on Wednesday to use this transportation for a ride home. Here is a copy of the late bus routes.

Lost and Found
We have many water bottles, sweatshirts and even an instrument in the lost and found located in the Main Office. Once a month we will lay the items on the stage for claiming and then they are donated to a local charity. If your student is missing any items they should check the main office corner for their items.
