As 2024 is quickly coming to an end, we have so much to celebrate! Thanks to the wonderful partnership between students, staff, and families, this first part of the school year has been full of engaging learning opportunities, core memory making, smiles, and laughter. We look forward to continuing the positive momentum when we all come back together on January 7!

If you returned a form to our school counselor earlier this month requesting holiday gift support from the Elks Club, please pick up your items at 22770 SW Elwert Road in Sherwood this Saturday, December 21st between 9 am and 1 pm. They have requested you use the gravel driveway, due to the construction on the paved road.

If you selected home pick up, please be home between the hours of 8 am and 1 pm for drop-off. If you have any questions, please call the Elks Club at 503.625.7888, or email them at elks2342@gmail.com.

Starting in January 2025, families will begin receiving notifications through ParentSquare if their student’s lunch account has a negative balance.

We encourage all families to check your student's school lunch account balance and address any outstanding negative balances before the new year.

To pay your balance with a credit/debit card or eCheck/ACH, please visit the ParentVUE website. Instructions for navigating the ParentVUE website can be found here. Cash or check payments will be processed by the Nutrition Services Staff in the cafeteria.

Sherwood PreK Presents - The FLIP Museum! Portland's Mobile Children's Museum! Families with children 0-5years can come play with us on Saturday January 11th 9-11am! Meet our PreK teachers, and find out more about our PreK program!

Sherwood Education Foundation is sponsoring a free community event on January 15th @ 5pm to 8pm in the Sherwood High School Auditorium. Speaker Tanner Clark is a TEDx and international speaker who has a passion for helping teenagers live their best life and empower them to use their "one second of strength." He has been a guest on the news, podcasts and is the host of The Second of Strength Podcast. Tanner uses social media for good to teach teens and parents about digital dangers and to help them overcome distractions so they can live up to their potential and find happiness.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering full day and half day Pre-K for the 2025-2026 school year! To be eligible, students must be four or five years old on or before September 1, 2025. Our full day program will run from 7:55 am - 2:15 pm and costs $945 per month. Half day options include 7:55 am - 11:00 am or 11:10 am - 2:15 pm and costs $470 per month.

Interested in our Program? Please complete an interest form and our Early Learning Coordinator will be in touch with more information in January. Registration opens on January 13, 2025.

All volunteers need to complete and have an approved background check on file prior to volunteering (this must be renewed each school year). The background check process can take 7-10 business days, so please allow sufficient processing time if you are planning to volunteer for a specific event.

If you are looking to volunteer at Archer Glen this year, please sign up using the link shared here. If you are new to Archer Glen you will need to create a new login. Past volunteers can use their old sign in. (Please note that this link does not work well on your phone so you will need to use another device).

ALL parents will need to fill out their information again as the system gets updated each fall. The registration will ask some questions about volunteer preferences, please answer the questions and select all the activities you might be interested in learning more about!
