CME PTO Weekly

Thank you to everyone who generously donated to staff and our Adopt-A-Family through the SCRIPS program this year! The gift cards have all been ordered and will be distributed before the break. Your generosity will definitely brighten the holidays for so many this year!

Today your child should bring home a few snowflakes in their folder. Just like we did with the leaves during conference week, we will hang these snowflakes on the trees on the bulletin board outside the cafeteria from now until Winter Break. If you’d like, please write a kind message to a teacher, staff member or friend on the snowflakes and leave them in the basket by the bulletin board, and we will staple them up each day. There are currently a bunch of blank snowflakes over there, ready to go, as well. Thank you for helping to spread some winter cheer in the school!

Are you planning a classroom holiday party? Need it to be easy? MyClassroomParty has a winter party box geared for grades K-2nd and it comes with everything! See graphic for more details.

Spring Fundraiser planning is underway, if you are interested in joining this fun committee, please email cmeapto@gmail.com. Our next planning meeting will be December 16th, after dropoff, at the Starbucks on Red Cedar. We will be choosing committee tasks - AND paying for your coffee! - so come get in on the fun!

Also, we need your help! We are looking for donations of auction items, such as sporting tickets (Broncos, Rockies, Buffs, etc), VRBO rentals, etc. If your family has a connection, or you know of a local business owner that may have a connection, and would be interested in a tax deductible donation to CME, please let us know! We hope you have marked it on your calendars! Daughter Dance will be held January 25th from 6:00-8:00pm at CME.

Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

We are collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps again this year. There is a box near the front office desk where you can deposit them. Thank you!

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
