A recent highlight was Western Welding Academy's (WWA) visits. At WWA spoke about how they have the most elite, highest skilled welders in the world teaching students how to weld pipe. Western Welding Academy helps students to become successful welders. They focused on how important it is to learn how to be adaptable to navigate higher education, career pathways, and life in general. They brought drones to the presentation and shared their Youtube Channel so students could continue to explore this opportunity.

Experience Pillar: Updates and Stories of Impact
Check Out EXPERIENCE IN ACTION Highlights
The Experience Team shared that 60 selected sophomore WCHS/WACC students partner with Depuy mentors several times per month. WCS is grateful for the 30 Depuy J&J mentors who support the BRIDGES TO EMPLOYMENT (BTE) program that partners students with a mentor to engage collaboratively in STEM activities during the enrichment periods (90 Mins).
Other highlights include BPA and FCCLA advancing through regional, state, and national contests! These experiencing truly set up students for life-long success!
BPA is the leading Career Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. Indiana BPA has close to 2,500 members in 87 chapters.
FCCLA's mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
Thanks go out to club sponsors, students, families, and community for supporting these opportunities for WCS students.
