In the meantime, families that currently do not qualify for free or reduced meals must continue to pay for school meals for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year.

North High art students recognized with 2023 Scholastic Award National Medal
Students from North High School will be recognized nationally at Carnegie Hall this coming June, and will be published and exhibited in New York City.
More than 100,000 students submitted more than 260,000 works of art and writing to the 2023 Scholastic Awards. Emmett Johnson, Kara Williams, and Owen Nyachae had works selected by some of the foremost leaders in the visual and literary arts for excellence in originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. Less than 2,000 works received a National Medal, which places them within the top 1% of all submissions.
Check out their award winning work and make sure to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements!

Skyview Debate Team takes first place
The Skyview Debate Team took first place in the Novice Division of the Minnesota Urban Debate League Championships on March 23. The winning debaters were seventh-graders Gabby Pineda Martinez and Emma Radanke. Third place went to Joseph Smith, who debated "maverick," meaning he went solo without a partner - an amazing accomplishment!
These three debaters competed in four debates over the course of five hours. Congratulations to our other 32 debaters who consistently took home top-place ribbons at meets throughout the season.

Discounted At-Home Internet
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible households a discount of up to $30 per month off their internet bills (or up to $75 per month for households living on Tribal lands), as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 off an eligible connected device like a laptop, desktop computer or tablet. In many cases, households can get high-speed internet without paying a dime by choosing a fully covered internet plan.
A household is eligible to participate in the ACP if a child in the household receives free or reduced-price school meals. Therefore, under the ACP rules, every household with a child attending a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program is eligible for ACP benefits.
Households can learn more and apply for the ACP at GetInternet.gov.
