From the desk of Principal Zeigler
Thank you so much to the PTO for bringing the Literati Book Fair to Brayton. The students (and the teachers) had a great time picking out books (you can never have too many!) We had a great time on Read Aloud Night. It is always fun reading some old and new favorites.
The Genesis Portal is now open for parents. You can find directions to access your child's report card here.
Thank you, again, parents/guardians for reminding your children to go straight to their class lines when they come to school in the morning. Children should not be playing on the playground equipment on the Junior Playground or play on Memorial Field. Staff is only able to supervise the class lines in the morning.
Just a friendly reminder, if you have a kindergartner who is currently not attending the Primary Centers and is coming to Brayton for first grade, please register them as soon as you can.
The Harlem Wizards will be at Summit High School on Sunday, April 6th from 4-6pm. Hope to see you there!
Have a wonderful weekend.
In Partnership,
Ms. Shane Zeigler

Literati Book Fair
Brayton students (and staff) had a great time at the Literati Book Fair.
Read Aloud Night
Thank you to everyone who came out for Read Aloud Night and some last minute book shopping. We had a great time!
Mini Ellis Island
Third graders created their own Mini Ellis Island to complete their Immigration unit.
All City Band and Orchestra- April 2nd
All City Band and Orchestra is an annual tradition here at Summit that combines all 5 elementary school band and orchestra students. The event is in the afternoon on April 2.
Students will experience the thrill of a large-scale rehearsal. During a break, they'll enjoy pizza and connect with fellow musicians from across the district. It's a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, experience what a 6th grade band and orchestra is like, make new friends, and of course, make music! The day culminates in a short performance showcasing their hard work.
Harlem Wizards Are Coming To Town
Hope to see you on April 6th at Summit High School! Harlem Wizards game will be from 4-6.

On inclement weather mornings, many will be driving their children to school and dropping them off. Inclement weather mornings are those mornings where there is heavy precipitation or extreme cold. A red flag will fly on both Myrtle Ave. and the Junior Playground to indicate an “in-day” arrival. On red flag days, students may enter the school at 8:05 am and proceed to the gym, where they will remain under aide supervision until 8:15. Teachers will meet their classes at 8:15 am, when the school day begins. Please ensure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather.
