• Picture Day is Sept 27! See the images below for online payment and picture packages. The link here will allow you to sign up for details regarding picture day. This link will allow parents to sign up to receive updates via email regarding their child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.
• You should have received information regarding how to sign up for Rooms. This is the platform for messaging with teachers. Please reach out to your child's teachers if you do not have this information.
• There is a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in STEM challenges through NC State University on several Saturdays each semester. It is totally free, includes lunch and we transport students to and from NC State's campus. Complete the application here and if you need help, here is a help link. You can also reach out to Mr. O'Shea at toshea@ecps.us. When you complete the application, please use discount code SCHOLAR100 to avoid payment as all West Edgecombe students are able to attend free.
• Please make sure your student comes to school daily with a fully charged Chromebook. If students charge their Chomebook at home in the evenings, it will last for all of their classes at school during the day. Thank you for your help with this.
• Infinite Campus Parent Portal is now available. Using this portal you can view your students' grades and attendance. To register for the portal, you must bring photo identification to the school to receive your personal registration code, linking you to your student. Office hours are 7:30am-4:00pm each day.
• Please make note of our Uniform Policy below. School tshirts are sold daily. T-shirts are $12 and hoodies are $25.
• The District Calendar can be found here.
• Our school, specific calendar, including academic and sporting events, can be found here. Consider downloading the ECPS app to easily access this calendar any time.
• All rising 7th graders must be current on their immunizations. See the flyer below for more details.

• Monday, September 23 - No School for Students (Teacher Workday)
• Tuesday, September 24 - Last day 7th graders without immunizations can attend school; Volleyball and Soccer away at Pattillo
• Wednesday, September 25 - Volleyball away at Phillips
• Thursday, September 26 - Football at home vs. Parker
• Friday, September 27 - Picture Day!
• Wednesday, October 23 - SWEHS FCA Fields of Faith Event, 7pm-8:30pm. Guest speaker Daniel Ritchie, flyer below

• The tardy bell rings at 8:05am. Please make sure your student is in the building by 8:05am. Students not in class by 8:05am will receive tardy documentation.
• 11:40am is the halfway point in the school day. If your student checks in after this time or checks out before this time, he/she will be counted absent for the entire day.
• All students must be in uniform daily. See the image above for uniform expectations.
