No SGI support during Eagle Time. SGIs will be meeting to review Eagle time plans, locations and materials for following week.

Title One Compacts

Thank you to everyone who has returned your blue (student) and yellow (teacher) forms. Shout out to Romeo and Dumford - 100%. Continue to put those in my mailbox or give to an SGI as they come in… PLEASE make sure you put your name at the top. We will begin to bring you additional copies for those we are missing.

Notice and Note

• Def. of Independent Reading - Vanishing Content Style (from PEAK training). Use as you see fit!! Thanks Caley!!

Independent reading is reading a text by yourself with deep engagement.

Engagement means thinking about the text and building ideas about it.

• COMING SOON….. “Notice and Note Signpost” videos / reading passages…GOAL is to have the first set to you by next Friday.
  

Eagle Time

At next Wednesdays PLC meetings I should have the Eagle Time groups completed. I will need teacher input on which teacher/SGI you want to lead this group. We will be providing the reading material….you all will be providing the math for now. With the exception of our HillRAP groups, most will be doing two days of reading and two days of math.

SGI Newsletter

We will be making positive phone calls again this year.

-MGSD expectation that all students get a positive call within the first month of school.

-This can be done via phone call OR this year can be done in dojo portfolios.

-Please see Ms. Cosme/Ms. Snyder for examples of the dojo version or Tara/Mesha for assistance setting it up.

-The Dojo version is VERY easy, can include our growth mindset theme AND parents have been so receptive.
