North Star Newsletter November 2024
A message from Mr. Horning, Head of School
Hello Wonderful North Star Families,
What a beautiful time of year to be in Idaho. I just want to share how much fun we have had over the last week with crazy Halloween costumes, Potato sales, and a Cross Country State send off. The campus is alive with energy and I continue to be so thankful for the opportunity to work at North Star.
With Thanksgiving only a few weeks away, it’s always important to take a minute to share how appreciative we are of our amazing families, staff, and students. We have all heard the term, “It takes a village,” and that is exactly what we have here at North Star. Each student has so much support and encouragement both at school and at home. Thank you for all you do to help us push these students to perform at their highest level. With that said, you should have received a letter from North Star regarding our Annual Fund. As a Charter, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to provide a unique educational experience for our students. We continue to find ways to involve our students in the best possible experience available, but we need your help to do so. Please take a moment to read through the ways you can support North Star. The more parents, grandparents, and community members that support North Star, the more we can offer our students over the course of the year. Idaho provides so many opportunities for our students, we want to capitalize on everything possible.
Please enjoy this month’s newsletter and see exactly why I am so thankful to be at North Star. We have elementary Parent Teacher conferences coming up and we look forward to another incredible turnout. Enjoy this beautiful time of year, think snow, and enjoy your family.
Thank you
AH

North Star Annual Fund
Our Annual Fund is now live! As a charter school, North Star receives public funding but lacks access to the bond and levy funding available to traditional schools. Thankfully, from the gracious and generous support from our communities and families every year, we can continue to provide a high-level education with real world experiences. Click here to see last year's impact report.
Our goal for this year's Annual Fund is $120,000. With your support, we can address urgent needs and make a direct impact in our school by focusing on Facility Upgrades ($80,000), Classroom Needs ($40,000), and other areas where needed most. You can make a donation here.
Every donation counts! We continue to be amazed with the support and generosity of our families and community. No matter the amount, we sincerely appreciate your support. Plus, your donation is tax-deductible wit Idaho offering additional tax benefits for education contributions. Please see attached forms for more details and tax benefits.
Thank you for your continual generosity and support of our school!
