GJH Staff are wishing all students and families a safe, restful summer vacation. Keep an eye on Parent Square for important information as we get closer to the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

Congratulations to the 63 students who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Monday evening!

NJHS promotes the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship and helps middle-level students develop the knowledge and skills to become well-rounded student leaders in their school, community, and beyond.

GJH teachers had some fun during teacher appreciation week with an "Awkward Family Photo" contest. Teams chose a theme and posed for pictures, and a vote was taken for the most awkward photo.

Builders' Club members made cookies to show appreciation to teachers, and many students coudl be heard thanking teachers for their work!

In an effort to make the beginning of the school year more successful for students and parents, Goshen Schools will stagger the start of the school year.

August 16, 2023 will be the first day of school for the grade levels transitioning into a new building. The remaining grade levels will start a day later, on August 17.

All 7th Grade students (along with students in Kindergarten, 5th, and 9th grades) will start school on August 16, 2023.

On August 17, 2023, all students will attend school.

This schedule will allow greater attention and care to be given to those grade levels new to a building, providing them with orientation time prior to the arrival of the students in other grade levels.

Watch Parent Square over the summer for more details about the start of the school year.

Transportation policies are being updated to provide a smoother, more efficient process for the 2023-2024 school year.

1. Parents will need to opt in for transportation for their children. Any child in grades 7-12 who will be riding the bus will need to be registered by June 30th.

2. Parents will need to designate one pick-up and drop-off point for their children.

3.. Any change in transportation will take up to 72 hours to take effect. Transportation will contact parents when the change is ready.

It’s hard to believe we are getting ready to wrap up another school year! It’s been another fun one for all of our Athletic Teams! We had close to 600 athletes competing over the course of this school year with many of these athletes moving on to GHS as Freshmen. We want to thank all of you soon to be Freshmen for your leadership on and off the court or field. We wish nothing but the best as you begin your high school career! Parents, thank you for supporting our athletes and GJH Athletics! We couldn’t do it without you!

Just a reminder to get those sports physicals scheduled with your doctor so that you are ready to go for the next school year! You MUST have a sports physical on file with Mrs. Worthman that is dated AFTER April 1st, 2023 to be eligible for the 23-24 school year. Your sports physical from our current school year is not valid for the 23-24 school year. This is something that has to be done every year.

You will also need to make sure you are enrolled in Final Forms and all forms must be completed before the tryout dates. Go to goshen-in.finalforms.com to sign up. If you are already enrolled in Final Forms because of playing a sport this school year, all you have to do is sign into your account and update your information.

Fall sports that will begin in August are….Football, Cheer, Volleyball, Cross Country and Soccer. Start dates will be announced over the summer.

The Beginning Theatre Performance will be at 6pm on May 11th. Students should report back to the school by 5:15pm. If a student needs to stay after school in order to be back in time, please contact Mrs. Stoltzfus via Parent Square.

The Competition and Advanced Theatre performances will be held at 6:30pm on May 19th. Students should report back to school by 5:45pm. If a student needs to stay after school, parent/guardian should contact Mrs. Stoltzfus via parent square.
