Budget Approved, Levy Lowered
The Board of Education approved the budget last night for the 2021-22 school year. The total levy dropped from $1.2201 to $1.2191. Property valuations came in at approximately half a million dollars less than anticipated. The money will be taken out of the cash reserve.
Bond Refinancing Saves the District Money
The Board again voted to refinance a series of bonds. This time they anticipate a savings of approximately $300,000 to the district. Last month the Board voted to refinance a series of bonds in hopes of saving $1.4 million. Once the refinancing was finalized, it came in better than anticipated, saving the district more than $1.6 million.
