Advising
Important Deadlines
Regular Academic Session Courses (08/21/2023 - 12/06/2023):
- 9/3/2023: Last day to drop without a grade of W (withdraw).
- 9/4/2023: Labor Day, no classes. W period begins a penalty grade of W will be awarded for each withdrawal and the class(es) will appear on your transcript.
Seven Week First Session Courses (08/21/2023 - 10/11/2023):
- 9/4/2023: Labor Day, no classes.
- 9/24/2023: Last day to file for Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). Last day for students to withdraw from a class online through UAccess.
- 9/25/2023: Instructor and dean's signatures required on a Late Change Petition in order to withdraw from class and students must have an extraordinary reason for approval.
- 10/1/2023: Last day for students to submit a Late Change Petition.

Job Title: Cognition & Neuroimaging Lab - Research Assistant
Semester: Fall 2023
Available for: Independent Study or Directed Research
Description:
The Cognition & Neuroimaging Lab investigates the relationship between cognition and brain structure & function. We are especially interested in the effects aging has on this relationship, and how genetic, health, and lifestyle factors in turn influence aging. We are looking for a wide array of applicants, especially those strong in the sciences and those considering graduate school, to fulfill Research Assistant positions. Research Assistants will have the opportunity to become involved in recruiting and screening participants, collecting and analyzing behavioral data, and assisting in MRI/fMRI data analysis.
Expectations:
- Research assistants will be expected to commit to 9 hours per week in the lab and to reliably adhere to that schedule throughout each semester.
- Lab hours will be based on the Research Assistant’s schedule and will be documented.

My name is Ava Goldstein, the president of Psi Chi for the 2023-2024 year. I hope everyone is having a great first few weeks of classes. I would like to invite anyone with a Psychology and Psychological Science major or minor to apply to Psi Chi. Psi Chi is a psychology honor society that provides opportunities for networking, professional development, volunteer opportunities, and access to lifetime membership to Psi Chi International.
You may be eligible for Psi Chi if you have completed at least three semesters of college, have completed 9 units of psychology courses, have a 3.0 GPA or above, and your GPA is in the top 35% of your class. In Fall 2022, the GPAs in the top 35% percent were at least a 3.7. If you are interested in applying, click the link below to fill out the application by Friday, September 15th at 11:59 MST!
