Successes in the Burrow!
Hello Students and Families!
We have been so lucky to have another week of beautiful weather for this time of year! PE classes were able to enjoy some extra outdoor time this week as they worked on ball skills, cardio, and interacting with peers.
Thank you to those who have been supporting our big Orange Ruler Fun Run fundraiser, it is greatly appreciated! We are 78% of the way towards our fundraising goal. We are counting on your support to be able to invest in PTA activities and programs during the year for ALL students like the Wheel of Wisdom Assembly, Science Fair, BINGO Family Fun Night, Kindergarten t-shirts, classroom digital software, LMC books, Patterson Champion rewards, out of the blue prizes, and much more!
This is the LAST weekend before Turn-In day next Tuesday.
- How can you help? - Please visit orangeruler.com/signup. The online process is very easy - only 3-5 minutes to make such a positive impact by registering, adding a 100% tax-deductible donation and inviting friends and family to help by simply adding a link to Facebook or adding email addresses (emails only used for this program and not for marketing whatsoever). This small extra step is so important because it vastly expands the reach of our great community and rapidly multiplies the support for our cause.
Our children have also been enjoying the positive bonding with their classes and are looking forward to all the exciting, memorable experiences and rewards still to come that they will be sharing including the exciting Fun Run, Pig Race, and Obstacle course done my Mrs. Lee and myself. We have been training hard for race day!
Your small investment of time and support during these final days has such as positive impact on all our children, their classes and our entire community!
Let’s go Team Patterson!
Enjoy the three day weekend! Remember there is NO SCHOOL on Monday. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday!

Here are some important notes from the LMC!
Our annual Patterson Pumpkin Character Contest is coming up the week of October 28! It is truly one of the highlights of year here in the LMC. (if you are visiting the LMC take a look at some of the "pumpkin characters" from past years that were donated!) Forms with detailed instructions and dates were sent home with students. If you need another copy, have your student see Mrs. Maly!
TECH NEWS:
- Students in Grades 2-5 all have Chromebooks that will travel to and from school daily. Grades K-1 will keep their Chromebooks at school in a charging cart in the classroom to use throughout the day.
- Please keep all chargers at home, do not send them to school. Students are responsible for charging their Chromebooks at home for the school day. We do not have the capability to charge Chromebooks during the day for students. Thank you for helping students be successful here at school!
- Students take home Chromebooks every night for charging to be ready for the next day of learning at school. Each grade level has different expectations on homework or practice at night on Chromebooks. Please contact your child's teacher for more information on what is required.
- Just a reminder that Chromebooks are for schoolwork only. Students are allowed to access their dashboard (SSO) that has multiple items for them to use. Other sites allowed are Mrs. Maly's LMC page with activites or their teacher's Google Classroom which may have items for them to access.

Explore the Arts and Express Yourself with PTA Reflections
Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us to explore the arts and express yourself with PTA Reflections!
This year's theme is Accepting Imperfection.
All PTA Reflections entries are due to the Patterson office by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Entries not meeting the category specific guidelines upon submission will be disqualified from advancement. Specific submissions guidelines, entry forms and more are available on the Patterson PTA website. Please email the Patterson PTA with questions.
What is Reflections?
The National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. We proudly offer this National Reflections program to all our District 204 students. Each School’s PTA works hard to make this program work by advertising, collecting entries, and announcing any advancements or winners. Founded in 1969, PTA Reflections is known as the oldest and largest national student recognition program in the arts. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Patterson PTA
The PTA provides school and teacher support, programs, events and fundraising throughout the year. Your PTA membership gives you access to attend class parties and other PTA-sponsored activities at Patterson, but you are not required to attend meetings, events or volunteer.
If you plan to attend class parties, your first step is joining the PTA.
By joining the PTA, you are able to know what is happening at Patterson and hear the Principal’s Report directly from Mrs. Hebenstreit at the monthly PTA Meetings.
Volunteer for a PTA Committee
There are many different PTA committees that could use your help. Time commitments vary, so you can volunteer even if you don’t have a lot of time. If you are interested in volunteering, please email the PTA at thepattersonpta@gmail.com.

Please make sure to complete this form when visiting your child's classroom.
Staff will be present at all entrances being used for arrival and dismissal to supervise students.
