From Mr. Sachtleben's Desk...
We were again reminded of the importance of school safety with the tragic event that took place in Georgia this week. Our District and building are dedicated to maintaining a safe space here at school for ALL students.
The District sent information out on Thursday afternoon about our approach to school safety and the importance of being prepared. The communication focuses on our District’s safety practices and our strong collaboration with the Dublin Police Department, as well as other local law enforcement agencies. I encourage you all to read this information in order to better understand our approach to school safety.
I always remind our students and our parents that if you see something, please say something. This can be to any teacher, counselor, administrator and our school resource officer or through the Stay Safe, Speak Up link found on the District website. By just saying something, this can bring attention to a situation that could compromise school safety and can then be prevented. School safety is a top priority for me and we our dedicated to keeping a safe environment here at school.
At any time if you have questions or concerns about our protocols and practices, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Have a great weekend!
Matt

Note about Media Center Opt Outs
As part of the annual back to school update, parents were asked if they would like to receive an email notification of their student’s book checkout. If you opted in to receiving email notifications for your student’s book checkout, the ability for him/her to independently check out a book will not be an option. A media specialist or library aide will need to check out the books allowing them to send an email receipt.
If you no longer wish to receive these notifications, please complete this form. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our school media specialist or building administrator.

Sells Athletic Corner with Mr. Jones
Another busy week is in the books here at the Sells Athletic Department.
The district girls golf team secured a pair of wins this week to continue their undefeated season!
Our girls tennis team notched two more wines over Grizzell and Dempsey 4-1 and 5-0 respectively!
Our volleyball teams had two hard fought matches this week at Karrer and at home against Grizzell. Over at Karrer both 7th and 8th grade fell in three sets, but our Lady Rocks never stopped fighting!
Football was back in action this week against Olentangy Liberty. Even though both 7th and 8th grade fell short, we are so proud of how they played! The 8th grade got down early and fought all the way back. The final score was 28-34.
Cross country recorded more PR’s this week against Karrer and will run tomorrow at the Watkins Glen Invitational.
We look forward to seeing you next week!
GO ROCKS!!!!
