Washington Caldwell Parent Update
Week of February 10, 2025
Message from our Principal
Hello Bulldog families,
We recently renewed our relationship with SCJohnson iMET at Gateway through an onsite visit from John Zehren from the Gateway Fab Lab. John worked with our 4K students with our Rokenbok building sets, as well as experiencing digital skill building through completing a Google form through emotion emojis related to the activities. 5th grade was also part of today's digital learning through the design software Tinkercad. Students designed their items and then used the interface with our 3D printers to create the items they designed. It was a great learning experience for all involved. This collaboration will continue throughout the remainder of the school year and beyond. We hope to have additional grades be part of this engaging learning program.
It was great to see our band students perform last Friday at the WASBF concert at Waterford Union High School. The field house was packed and the performance was excellent. I received a great deal of feedback about how this experience was so engaging for our students. Thank you to our staff, families, students and Mr. Sloan for supporting and preparing our students for this event.
Enjoy the weekend!
Kevin McCormick
Superintendent/Principal
