LES Celebrates Inclusion in April!
In recent years LES has expanded its celebration of Autism Acceptance month to celebrate our increasingly diverse student population and their needs. This year we continued to alk about how important it is to make everyone feel connected and included, no matter their differing ability.
This year our theme was “You are Enough,” celebrating the fact that each of us is unique and special, with differing abilities and talents to share. Each class learned about a differing ability and then decorated their Buddy Class' door to teach them about it! The CARE Kids also visited classrooms to share the book You Are Enough and to encourage students to complete our coloring sheet fundrasier. Thanks to our generous students and their families, as well as our staff, we donated $130 to Special Olympics NJ!
We will continue to focus on the importance of including and supporting one another in order to make LES a safe and comfortable place to learn and grow 💚

An Amazing Celebration of Culture!
We would like to thank all families who participated in our Multicultural Night Celebration. Through the sponsorship of our PTO and the contributions from our families, staff, and community, we all enjoyed a night of friendship, culture, music, tradition, and food! A huge shout out to our Equity Coaches, Katie Miller and Taylor Hickey, for their help in planning and preparation behind the scenes. Please enjoy some of the pictures below.
