March 10-15, 2025 Marysville Jr/Sr High School #dogproud364
Principal's Note
Greetings Marysville Family,
Springing forward is usually a day I dread, but with today's weather, I welcome it with open arms. Enjoy the longer nights and weather, Marysville Jr/Sr High, but keep grinding during the days. And then get some rest and relaxation during spring break as you hopefully get to spend some quality time with family. There will be no newsletter next weekend. Enjoy the break and we will talk again March 23rd.

Sub-state Brings Basketball To A Close
Basketball season came to a close this last week with the Bulldogs having to be "road warriors" in every single contest of sub-state action. Both teams traveled a combined 1,930 miles getting back and forth to games. The girls (cool senior pic before Cheney trip) went to Haven and upset the Wildcats, braved a blizzard to beat the Cheney Cardinals, and then fought hard for a half before succumbing to sub-state winners Halstead on their home court. The boys had to travel darn near to Oklahoma to beat the Roadrunners of Chaparral before traveling to Hesston to face 2nd-seeded Hesston. The boys fought hard but fell to the Swathers who went on to win the sub-state. Thanks to our seniors for their leadership for their entire careers!
Sometimes you see a picture that needs to be captured. I think the one above was one such picture for a couple reasons. First, before the game even got going, our student section stopped and had to look directly up to show respect to the flag during the National Anthem. Second, I loved how loud and into the game our students were. Our cheerleaders and students brought their A-Game all the way to the end. Nice job!

Mr. Milholland Jamming This Weekend!
Mr. Friedrichs captured this photo of our very own Mr. Milholland performing his first live concert in front of a crowd at the Marysville Country Club this weekend. He was joined by our very own Mr. Nations on bass, Tommy Brinegar on guitar, and Nathan Parmentier on drums. Nice job!
