Happy Tuesday, RJE families,

We hope you had a great time at the Boo Bash Friday night. It was great seeing the community come together. Be sure to check us out on Facebook to see pictures from the amazing night of fall fun hosted by the RJE PTA.

TOMORROW is the 50th day of school! We like to have some fun and dress up like the 1950s on this special day and look forward to seeing what our kids come up with for dress-up fun!

We are less than a month away from honoring our Veterans at our special assembly. Please invite any veteran that is special to you to join us. If you would like for a picture of your veteran to be showcased in our slideshow, please see the flyer below for where to send your photo. Our Veteran's Day assembly will be held the Friday before Veteran's day, November 8th, at 8:00am.

Finally, we would like to bring your attention to a special McKinney Education Foundation opportunity. Each year our staff has the opportunity to write a grant to support our school or students through something they are excited about, but requires a bit of extra funding. The McKinney Education Foundation has an extensive grant application process, and we are excited to announce TWO of the five grants written by our staff have been approved by MEF and added to the Family Funded site. This allows the school community the opportunity to support a grant, if they choose. The deadline to contribute to Family Funded grants is November 30th. With it being a short week, we did not award a weekly house winner. Stay tuned for this week's winner. Follow their reward day on our social media, each week.

The RJE PTA began a new sponsorship program this summer in hopes to help raise funds in a new way for the school. It has been an amazing success, with local businesses donating over $5,000 already! These funds help pay for shirts, events for students, and support for teachers. Our PTA would love help generating more leads.
