June Newsletter
We are excited to have a great year. Our focus is to Pursue Excellence in our academics and character. We are Driven, Bold, Kind, Proud, and Honest.
Principal's Message-
Hello Hedrick Families,
Thank you for a wonderful year of success and growth. I am so proud of our students and staff for making this year AMAZING! We had our first Spring Musical- Pirates in May. Hats off to the cast and Mrs. Curiel- a FANTASTIC performance!
Next year we will be implementing a full Advisory program 4 days a week. The focus is to support students with goal setting, academic success, and growth in social/emotional learning, This class students will be exposed to various methods and strategies they can use to increase their social and academic skills. Students will develop executive functioning skills through lessons on organization, goal setting, and planning; receive instruction to prepare for college and career readiness and success in a global society; develop strategies for showing kindness and empathy for themselves and others; learn to navigate online technology safely and responsibly; and participate in various activities developing other social and academic skills. Your student's advisor will be a main line for communication to support the parent/school communication line. We want ALL students to have one, trusted, and connected adult at Hedrick.
We hope you have a wonderful, fun, safe, and relaxing summer!
It's a GREAT day to be a Hornet!
