End of Semester
This Thursday marks the end of the first semester for the 2024-2025 school year. It has been an excellent first half of the year! Thank you to our families, students, faculty and staff for making RUHS a welcoming environment where students have the opportunity to grow and flourish.
For students who did not find the level of success they were hoping to find in the first semester, next semester, starting on January 6th, 2025, is a fresh start! Semester grades are final and will be reflected on student transcripts worth ½ credit per class. With that in mind, it’s equally important to remember, that the new semester starts completely over from scratch.
Now that students know what projects, assignments, quizzes and tests are important, count for the most points, and the expectations for how the work is to be completed, they have an even better chance at finding success. Second semester in the new year will give them a chance to try again. The new year and new semester bring forth new opportunities. If this first semester threw some obstacles in the way and students weren’t as successful as they had hoped, take this holiday break to rejuvenate and come back ready to try again knowing that the slate is clean. Just because you struck out during your first at-bat, doesn’t mean you can’t hit a home run this time!!!!
Wishing everyone in the Rincon Ranger family a safe, happy, healthy holiday break!
See you next year on January 6th. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings our way!!!!
