Changes to our Dues Have Come Due!
The Boise Education Association has great respect and appreciation for their Educational Support Professional (ESP) members and is proving once again how they value our participation in our union. Earlier this year, the Executive Board approved a new dues structure to begin next school year. Your ESP Committee proposed that the BEA portion of the ESP dues be prorated, allowing new members who join during the school year to only pay for the months they will actually be members. In the past, members paid for the whole year, even if joining a few months in. For example, the BEA dues for ESP are $56.88 a year, $4.74 per month. Under the new structure, you will not pay the $4.74 for the months prior to joining the association. (IEA and NEA prorate their dues after January) We hope this will make the decision to join a little easier, knowing that your ESP Committee is working to make membership more affordable. Let’s grow our association!
Check out the Annual IEA Summer Institute
This Institute is an opportunity for our members to gather and exchange ideas and to learn from each other, thereby gaining a network of colleagues who work to strengthen public education in our schools.
