Leander ISD to host staff listening sessions Oct. 14 - Oct. 19

A school year during a global pandemic is not a typical school year. We want to support our students and you: our teachers and staff who have been undertaking a monumental effort during the global pandemic.


We reviewed and will be responding to the feedback from the Sept. 18 - Oct. 2 Thoughtexchange. As a district leadership team, we've received messages, had conversations, and heard from our Leander ISD team during Citizen Comments at Board meetings.


We know we can and should do more. Because we want to be purposeful and mindful to do things that positively impact your work, we are hosting 13 listening sessions starting next week and into the following week. We will present this feedback and additional action steps during the Oct. 22 Board of Trustees meeting.

Elementary School Staff

All sessions are between 3:15 p.m. - 4 p.m.

All sessions are between 4:15 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Non-Campus Staff - Central Office, Central Office Annex, Support Services, Technology, Transportation, and All Non-Campus Staff

  • Oct. 16 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Leander ISD realizará sesiones para escuchar a los empleados de octubre 14 a octubre 19

Un año escolar durante una pandemia global, no es el típico año escolar al que estamos acostumbrados. Queremos no solo apoyar a nuestros estudiantes, pero también queremos apoyarles a ustedes: nuestros maestros y personal que han estado sobrellevando una carga y esfuerzo monumental durante la pandemia global.


Hemos revisado y respondido a los comentarios recibidos desde septiembre 18 a octubre 2 en ThoughtExchange. El equipo de liderazgo del distrito, ha recibido mensajes, participado en conversaciones y escuchado el equipo de Leander ISD durante los comentarios de ciudadanos en las reuniones de la Junta Directiva.


Sabemos que podemos y debemos hacer más. Porque queremos que haya un propósito y una conciencia clara de impactar su trabajo de la manera más positiva, realizaremos 13 sesiones para escuchar a los empleados comenzando la próxima semana y hasta la semana siguiente. Presentaremos los aportes que hemos recibido y los pasos de acción a seguir en la próxima reuniòn de la Junta Directiva el 22 de octubre.

Horarios de las sesiones

  • Tendremos una sesión bilingue Inglés-Español el 16 de octubre a la 1:45 p.m.
