Mill Pond Elementary Newsletter

When they said that April showers bring May flowers, I have always interpreted that as a shower here and a shower there. Outside of a few days here and there, April weather was as to be expected! A bit brisk! The start of May looks a little rainy so let’s cross our fingers and hope for sunny days!

There are a little over 30 days left to the 24-25 school year. This has been one of the fastest years in my educational career! I feel each year it goes by quicker and quicker. Our students have accomplished so much. To think that our biggest goal in September was getting to class! Now, as our teachers have transitioned to more self-starting tasks for our students, they see the majority of our students are independently unpacking and packing at our lockers! Yet, we still have many things to accomplish. :-)

Our wonderful PTA is working hard helping to organize our upcoming end of year events such as The Color Run, Field Day, and the Kindergarten Award Program. Such a busy 2 months on the horizon!

As always, it takes a strong partnership between school and home to provide the most successful experience possible.

Ready or not June, Here we come!

Just a reminder please check with your child's teacher before sending in any food items for special events. We appreciate your generosity! We want all our students to be able to enjoy safely. We need to be sure all food items are compliant. Items should be store-bought with the ingredients clearly labeled. individually wrapped options are preferred.

If you have been to the pediatrician and have records to update, please send in documentation or call the health office.

We love to be outside! Whenever possible, weather depending, we will go outside during our scheduled times. Please make sure your student is dressed accordingly. We strongly encourage sneakers that are tied or have velcro. Crocs (even in sport mode) can come off easily and cause an injury.

Our swings area and the small playground have rubber mulch. Please talk to your children about not picking up the mulch, throwing the mulch, or putting it into their pockets to bring home. :-)

Don't forget to purchase a 24-25 yearbook!
