Dear Students & Families,
I hope that you have had informative and successful conferences and that you are enjoying fall break. Our seniors have been hard at work applying to schools for the first early deadline. We are so excited to see where everyone will land next year. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday and working hard until our Thanksgiving Break. Upon our return, we are really excited to celebrate our First Gen students and staff at a lunch on November 8th!
IB Spotlight
Stela Verhey, Gio Seeman, Oscar McHugh, and Julia Diaz provided a Q&A for the IB Diploma juniors on their Extended Essay process as a researcher. The students highlighted the importance of selecting a topic one enjoys, reading a large resource as an initial step, and doing most of the work during junior year.
IB DP Exam Fees- This only applies to 11th & 12th students testing in May 2025
Please accept our sincere apologies for any confusion or stress that our communications surrounding these fees have caused.
ASD will cover the cost of all IB Language & Literature fees because we require this course for graduation.
We realize that this has come as a surprise to many people, but there is an option to check the box to indicate that you want ASD to cover all of the fees.
Here is the form.
Skier Spolight
The AHS Girls’ Cross Country Team won the 3A Regional Championship; Julia Diaz took 2nd place overall. The AHS Boys’ Cross Country Team took 4th place and Jack Diaz took 3rd place overall. Both teams head to the State Championship Meet this weekend. Go Skiers!
