All dates you see below are on the calendar located on our website.
Each event below has a label on which group is participating.

(WG) Winter Guard Competition - Saturday, February 15
- Location: Skyview High School
- 2:13pm -- We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to this if you want to come support!
- $7 for General Admission, $5 for Seniors -- Children 3 and under are free
(Select Students) D3 Solo & Ensemble - Wednesday, February 26
- Location: Morrison Center at Boise State University
- Time: Varies --- see schedule HERE
- Parents/Guardians are welcome to come watch the performances.
- Students will need to provide their own transportation/carpooling.
- Students have the option to be excused from the whole school day or just for the class period(s) they are performing. A separate survey will be sent out to gather who needs to be excused the whole day.
- Parking at the Brady Parking Garage -- parking code for students and parents/guardians will be provided in a separate email.
(Select Students) Victory Middle School Sectionals/Retreat - Friday, February 28
- Selected section leaders/first chair players from Symphonic Band.
- 3pm-6pm at Victory Middle School
(IP/WG) Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard Competition - Saturday, March 1
- Location: Middleton High School
- Performance Times: TBD -- likely released the week of (February 24th)
(CB/SB) Pre-Festival Concert - Monday, March 3rd
- Concert Band After-School Rehearsal
- Call time: 6:30pm
- Concert start: 7:00pm
(P/G) Parent Booster Meeting - Tuesday, March 4
- Time: 6pm-7:15pm
- Location: TBD
(CB/SB) D3 Large Group Festival - Thursday, March 6th
- Location: Centennial HS Performing Arts Center
- Symphonic Band Performance/Clinic: 11:00am and 11:30am
- Concert Band Performance/Clinic: 1:05pm and 1:30pm
- We need a minimum of two parent chaperones to supervise the second bus.
- Parents/Guardians are welcome to come watch the performances. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to the performance so you can enter the auditorium without
- Students are excused from the whole day. We will be taking a bus from MVHS to CHS and back.
- Attendance and participation in this festival is part of our curriculum, and is part of the students' grades. Students are also expected to stay the full duration to watch other ensembles.
(Pep Band) All-School 8th Grade Night - Tuesday, March 11th
- Time commitment is 5:30pm-7:30pm
- Performing for the start of the assembly.
- Upperclassmen/Leadership help with our table at this event as recruitment.

- Our band boosters have been working a lot to get money to help fund ALL of our band students. Please consider volunteering for a concession date!

Spring 2025 Music Department Tour - IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND DETAILS
We will be putting together rooming lists next week and need them completed by the end of the week. By completing this rooming list, students are committing to the trip completely. Any paid fees up until this point will be considered non-refundable once we have sent off payment after February 21st.
Rooms are 4 to a room with two double beds in each room. Directors reserve the right to adjust student rooms if they believe the room of students will be an issue.
Mr. Barro will start taking rooming requests on Tuesday during advisory and lunch. Stop by his office to tell him who you are rooming with -- all students in the room must be present to confirm the rooming assignment.

Trip payment due dates:
Deposit: $50 - Overdue
Payment #1: $250 - Overdue
Payment #2: $250 - Overdue
Payment #3: $250 - Overdue
Payment #4: $175* - Due Thursday, March 6
All payments can be made online on MySchoolFees or via check/cash. If paying by check, make it out to MVHS Bands.
If paying by cash, please put it in an envelope with the student name and payment # OR drop it off to the bookkeeping office before school, during advisory/lunch, or after school.
