Principal's Message
Dear Memorial Families and Caregivers:
As we welcome 2025, I want to extend my warmest wishes for a happy and healthy year ahead. The start of a new year is always an exciting time, filled with the promise of growth and new opportunities for our students.
At Memorial, we continue to focus on fostering strong academic skills and social-emotional growth for all of our learners. This month, our teachers are working hard to provide engaging lessons, using data to guide instruction and support every student’s unique learning needs. Additionally, we remain dedicated to helping students build resilience, empathy, and positive relationships through our ongoing social-emotional learning.
On a practical note, the winter weather is in full swing, and the temperatures have been extremely cold. We want to ensure all our students are comfortable and safe during outdoor recess. Please make sure your child has warm clothing, including hats, gloves, and winter jackets, to enjoy their time outside. On snowy days don't forget boots.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to make 2025 a successful and rewarding year for all our students.
Stay warm and take care,
Troy
Point Of Pride
4th Grade Safety Patrols
We are proud to share that Memorial School now has a Safety Patrol program led by our incredible 4th-grade students! This new leadership opportunity empowers our young scholars to shine as role models, demonstrate good citizenship, and contribute to the safety and well-being of our school community.
Starting Monday, you'll notice our Safety Patrol members proudly wearing neon belts as they take on their new responsibilities. These dedicated students will be helping to ensure a safe environment during arrival and dismissal times, assisting with transitions, and reminding everyone about the importance of making safe and respectful choices.
This is a big step for our 4th graders as they embrace their leadership roles and learn the value of service and responsibility. They are so excited to get started, and we couldn’t be prouder of their enthusiasm and commitment to this important work.
When you see these young leaders around the school, please give them a big wave of support and a smile! Let’s celebrate their efforts to make Memorial School an even better and safer place for all.
Thank you for supporting our students as they grow into thoughtful, responsible leaders!
