A Whole "Latte" Love Coffee Treats-Feb. 14th!!!
We Need You!
Our teacher assistants are increasingly being used to support students instructionally. Though we are excited to transition to more of an Instructional Assistant role, this does mean that they have less time for some of the supports previously provided for teachers (e.g. clerical, copies, lamination, etc.).
This is where our community and families come in! We would love to capitalize on our supportive school community by asking for the gift of time. Please see the sign-up sheet link below to donate a few small blocks (a few hours) of your time.

All volunteers must be approved by Cabarrus County Schools. Please follow the link below to start the process and contact the front office with any questions.

A new law has gone into effect that now requires advanced consent for the delivery of non-emergency mental health services and interventions delivered by school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, and school nurses. The new law (SB 49) requires annual written notification regarding school mental health services and/or when students change schools.
If you would like to ensure that your child receives supportive intervention services, please complete the link here: Universal Opt-In Consent for Student Support Services

Program Choice Update - Notification of Placement Moved to Feb. 15th
Dear Cabarrus County Schools Program Choice families,
As we navigate through the Program Choice process and our district's current boundary realignment decisions, there is an important update regarding the upcoming lottery and notification of placement date.
We have moved the lottery and notification of placement date from February 1, 2024, to February 15, 2024, in anticipation of potential updates required for attendance zones in the Scribbles application for impacted students. This date adjustment aligns with expected Board action on realignment which is scheduled for February 12, 2024 at the Board's monthly business meeting.
You will receive a communication about your lottery and placement status on February 15, 2024, delivered to the email address specified in Scribbles during the application creation. For your convenience, you can also access this information in the parent online dashboard by logging into your Scribbles account.
Following the notification of placement, parents will have until February 28, 2024 to select their seat.
Notification on February 15, 2024, will convey whether your student has been offered a seat, placed on a waitlist, or denied admission based on the programmatic theme(s) they applied for. Please be sure to act by accepting your seat no later than the extended deadline of February 28, 2024.
IMPORTANT: You can only accept one choice. Upon acceptance, all other options (if applicable) will be automatically withdrawn.
Thank you for your attention to these important updates and for being part of our Program Choice process.
