Good to Know
- NEW College Board Student Data Opt Out forms in Arabic and Spanish
- LEAs in MI will begin collecting data on student and staff affiliation with the 12 federally recognized tribes in our state - this will start next year with those who participate in Title VI or Johnson-O'Malley, the second year will focus on student demographics, and the third year will include staff demographics
WIDA Access
- Testing window = February 5th - March 22nd
- WIDA materials arrived in districts January 29th 🍎
- 2024 MDE Specific Test Administration Manual
- Test Monitoring Application info on pg 92
- Students with the accommodations of Repeat Item Audio, Manual Control of Audio Items, and Extended Speaking Test Response Time must be turned on before printing their test ticket
- No smart watches or cell phones - review the MDE Electronic Device Policy
- Screening newly enrolled potential ELs during the Access window - yes, these students need to first be screened and then take WIDA Access if they qualify as EL
- Incident reports guidance document
- Need extra labels? Email mde-oeaa@michigan.gov with district name, school name, and # of sheets (1 sheet = 10 labels)
