PAT will NOT have visits nor will we host classes.

The free preschool that is offered by the State Of Michigan is the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). If your child is age eligible, you must complete an interest form by completing the link listed below. While the income cap is higher (400% above poverty level right now, see attachment), we still must process interest forms based on income and can only enroll based on availability. Legislative updates will occur after June 2025.

The interest form portal will open for the 2025-26 school year on March 1, 2025.

If your child is four on or before September 1, 2025 they are considered a tier 1 student and will be given preference over children that turn 4 on or before December 1, 2025.

Once your interest form is completed and assigned, you will be contacted via email.

If you are trying to sign up for a class and all you see available for a specific date is "no", this means the class is full. Please reach out to the teacher, as people may have messaged them to say they aren't able to attend. Their email is in the form description.

Please be mindful that many are not able to sign up for classes at all. If you are NOT able to attend a class that you signed up for edit the form or please reach out to slacours@gbcs.org.

Wee Play Together! Is a class all about connecting with your little one. Join Ms. Susan at 9:30am on either Tuesday or Thursday (please choose one Wee Play Together class per week) for a class with songs, finger plays, and interactive parent and child activities. We will partner with SKIP and Early On to host a Friday gym night. Each family will receive a book and each child will receive a snack to go at the end of the evening. We will open the PAT playroom for our younger children. Siblings are welcome to attend, children older than 5 years old are not allowed to play on the riding equipment on the stage. Let us know how many will attend and ages so we may plan by filling out a form HERE

For Mar at the Perry Center

We will host a For-Mar parks and recreation educator in room 104 to read a story, share finger plays, rhymes, and a live animal to meet and greet. There will be a few table top activities following the circle time.

Join Senora DeJesus for Spanish lessons for your little ones on different developmentally appropriate topics such as colors, numbers, shapes, and more. Classes will include circle time, a story, table top activities and play while learning Spanish.

Families with children 0-5 years old and their siblings are welcome to enjoy a free night at the Sloan Museum on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 5-7 pm. The monthly events will include at least 2 hands on activities, exploration of the Discovery Hall's Water Table, book giveaways, and dinner from a locally owned business. Parent Meeting

The Genesee County Local Leadership Group is made up of home visiting program staff and parents that have had the opportunity to participate in home visiting. Please come learn about resources in the community and share your thoughts and ideas about the work. Parents are leading this meeting and would like to hear from other parents that are receiving home visiting services.

Kids are welcome to attend and activities will be available to keep the kids busy while the adults talk. Seasoned early childhood staff will be onsite to watch over the children. Please register here

The Great Start Family Coalition offers parents opportunities to discuss the difficult task of parenting and share support and strengths with each other. This is an open forum for encouragement and learning from other parents.
