Momauguin Family Newsletter
May 26, 2024
Dear Momauguin Families,
I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather this Memorial Day Weekend!
Students were excited to share information about their weekend plans and I know many families will be hosting or attending picnics and other family events. These experiences provide students and families with "Stories to Share". Please consider attending our upcoming Literacy Night and sharing stories during this event. If you plan to participate, please return the notification to reserve your spot by Tuesday 5/28. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your child's teacher. Thank you for your support and partnership.
Have a wonderful week!
Julie Church

Vision To Learn
Momauguin School is partnering with Vision To Learn to provide vision services! Students will first receive a vision screening on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 which will identify if your child needs an eye exam. Vision To Learn’s mobile vision clinic will then visit your student’s school in September 2024 and if needed, provide an eye exam and glasses. Good vision is important for your child to do well in school.
Notification will be sent home this week providing additional information. If you wish to Opt Out your child, please complete the Opt Out Form and return it to school by Friday, May 31st.
CT Family School Partnership- Team Members Needed
Staff and Families of Momauguin School have been invited to participate in the CT Family School Partnership for the 2024-2025 school year. East Haven Public Schools has been a part of the CT Family School Partnership Grant for 5 years. This is an opportunity to re-engage the Momauguin School Team. If you feel this is something you are interested in participating in please let me know as soon as possible.
The EHPS SEL Coach Stephanie Rivellini will be leading this project, and helping us align this to the K-5 Vision of the Graduate. This will help increase parent training offered through various workshops that the district offers and will provide ways to strengthen our two way communication via Parent Square.
If you are interested I would like to invite you to attend a zoom meeting on Thursday May 30th from 9:30am-12:30pm. Please let me know if you are interested in this project by emailing me so I can share additional information with you.

The PTO is hoping The Grade 5 Carnival will be the start of a yearly tradition, offering all students something to look forward to as Fifth Graders prior to transitioning to JMMS.
