Reminders:

• Clear Bag Policy: Spectators are limited to one bag that is clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and less than 12"x 12"x 6"— exceptions will be made for medical and baby needs.
• No Re-Entry: Spectators that voluntarily leave an athletic contest will not be allowed reentry into that contest.
• Student Supervision: All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult when attending PHS athletic events.
• Spectator Seating: All spectators must remain seated in the bleachers unless visiting the concession stand and/or using the restroom facilities. Only athletes, cheerleaders, halftime performers, officials, school personnel, or law enforcement are permitted to stand outside the confines of the bleachers during the event.

Please review the picture below so that everything goes smoothly as students arrive on August 27! There are separate entrances into the parking lot for buses, carline, and student drivers. There are also separate entrances into the building for car riders, bus riders, and late students (or visitors to the building). PHS schedules for the 2024-2025 school year were released Friday, 8/16, for review in Infinite Campus. Students can view their schedules by logging into Infinite Campus through their NC Edcloud and clicking on the blue "NCSIS" icon.

Please note:

1. Schedules are still subject to change between now and the start of school on Tuesday, August 27, due to changes in staffing and enrollment.
2. Third-period classes (Enrichment Block) may be empty at this time, but will be in place shortly!
3. Schedule change requests must be submitted through the Google Form linked below. Every schedule was individually reviewed and every attempt was made to accommodate students' primary course requests. However, alternates may have been utilized in order to complete the schedule. Due to the complexities surrounding student schedules, changes to schedules will only be made if the following criteria has occurred:

Freshman Orientation will be held at PHS on Thursday, August 22 from 9am-1:00pm. This event is for new 9th Grade Students ONLY. Parents of first-time 9th graders should drop students off on the gym side of the building between 8:45-9:00am. Students will be greeted by students/staff that will guide them to the gym. After an opening session with all 9th graders, students will be taken around to stations where they will be able to meet their school counselor, tour the building, find out about student clubs and organizations, and have lunch! At 1:00, parents may pick their student up in the same location as dropoff OR come into the building to tour the building with their student from 1:00-2:00pm, meeting their teachers. Please note: Laptop distribution, payment of freshman fees ($12), and completion of online student registration is also taking place 1:00pm-7:30pm on August 22 in the Media Center (as well as Thursday, August 15, from 10am-6pm and Monday, August 26, from 10am-3pm).

Open House will be held at PHS on Thursday, August 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm. All Students & Parents are invited to attend! Printed schedules will be available for pickup outside of student services. There will be optional Parent Sessions at 5:00pm and 6:00pm in the cafeteria (repeat session- no need to attend both). Open House will be self-paced with parents and students walking around at their leisure to locate classrooms and meet teachers.

Be prepared on the first day of school by coming to one of the remaining “Back to School Kickoff” events below for all grade levels:

During the Kickoff event, students will...

• Complete Online Registration via Infinite Campus
• Purchase Parking Permits
• Pay Senior and Freshman Fees
• Submit required vaccination documentation and vote on senior shirt (Seniors only)
• Check out their laptop.
