Get Ready for Kindergarten!

Missouri law requires children to be 5 years old by August 1st to enroll in Kindergarten. Our full-day, tuition-free program offers convenient online registration and enrollment. If you do not have access to the internet, a device to use, or need assistance completing the online application, please call the Parkway Enrollment Hotline at (314) 415-9900.

This interactive Kindergarten Guide was created by Parkway Parents as Teachers’ Staff to give parents information about Kindergarten readiness. The guide includes links to age-appropriate milestones information, working through emotions and parent-child activities to increase specific skills. Included is a library with links to video books about Kindergarten. We hope you enjoy this guide and this special time in your child’s life! Your child's elementary school will be in touch with you about Kindergarten screening. This process is handled individually by each school, so please stay tuned for more information from them.

Jumpstart to Kindergarten is a program offered through Parkway School District Summer School.

Children will have the opportunity to become familiar with the kindergarten experience through activities that promote the development of literacy, math, art and music abilities, as well as social and fine-motor skills. Classroom and school routines will also be addressed in order to help students make a smooth transition to kindergarten. Children must be five by August 1, 2025. A copy of the child's birth certificate must be on file with Parkway. This is a free program available to all Parkway residents.
