LIBRARY NEWS
Call Deb Danen or Kathy Rolling at 448-2875, ext. 7113, for more information regarding Cormier’s library.
Birthday Book Club
Many thanks to Melanie in Mrs. Pavlik’s a.m. class, Isaac in Mrs. Sudol’s p.m. class, Emily in Mrs. Riederer’s a.m. class and Artemis in Ms. Estel’s p.m. class for donating books to the library since the last newsletter. Perhaps your child has talked to you about donating a book to the library. All you would need to do is choose a new book that your son or daughter would like to give to the library. A student may want to bring the book in on their birthday but any other day is fine also. If you are wondering what titles to purchase, we would love Spring books for donations. We also have a list of donation ideas posted outside the library door for parents to take. A book is a gift you can open again and again. ~ Garrison Keillor
Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday
NEA's Read Across America Day is almost here, and millions of kids, teens, and adults are busy making plans to join the nation's largest reading celebration. The day is planned in honor of what would have been Dr. Seuss’ 114th birthday. On March 1st, students may wear red, white, and black to school (to commemorate the Cat in the Hat) and we will be having guest readers throughout the day sharing some Dr. Seuss stories to our classes. Take some time to read to your child on this day and every day - let your child know that reading is important!
You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child. ~ Dr. Seuss
Library Book Care Reminder
If pages become ripped, please send the book back to the library with a note so that the page(s) can be repaired with special book tape. Being kind to books is practiced during library but we also need your help at home.
Spring Break
Spring Break is going to be here soon (March 26-April 2). Please remember to keep library books in a special place so they don’t get lost.

Sticker Chart–Prizes Needed
To promote positive behavior when classes come to the library they will have the opportunity to earn a sticker on the library behavior chart by being kind, safe, and responsible in the library. When a class has collected four stickers they will receive a reward—a prize from the treasure box! We would appreciate donations of simple prizes for our prize box. Due to health concerns we’d appreciate new or cleaned items only.
