PTA Updates

THANK YOU to the 90+ volunteers (kids and adults) who supported our annual Holiday Festival and Tree Sale by selling and delivering trees, baking treats, and staffing activities! And thank you to our Ross families, friends, and neighbors for purchasing trees, wreaths, and delicious baked goods!

Despite rainy weather, our efforts were extremely successful. The bake sale raised $2.5K and the tree sale raised $26K ($11K profit after factoring in the $15K cost to purchase the trees). And for our volunteer project with Miriam's Kitchen, students packed 150 bags of supplies for the MK outreach team to provide to individuals experiencing homelessness in DC.

Thank you for supporting this wonderful Ross tradition and for helping to build community within our school and neighborhood! These are not a simple events to organize and host, and it is only with the help of generous volunteers that they are possible.

Ross parents are organizing a holiday gift project to support families in need in our school community. If you would like more information please reach out to Rachel Glickman at rfglickman@gmail.com.

Our next major PTA activity is our spring auction, which is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Libby Franklin is taking the lead on this event. Volunteers are needed! If you have the ability to help in any way, please reach out to Libby at libbyjanefranklin@gmail.com.
