HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 4 Week 3 Friday 29 October
FROM MARK
Dear Parents and Guardians,
On that lovely note we congratulate our Year Three children who have made their first reconciliation, secure in the knowledge that they are well loved by their God and by their family.
Yesterday’s Interschool Athletics Carnival was fabulous! We came third overall out of 16 schools. A number of our Year 3-6 children were involved, and absolutely gave of their best. We are very proud of them, and we also thank P.E. Teacher Rob Flexman for making this opportunity available to them.
On Tuesday many of our children are participating in the Hale Connect Triathlon next door. Then on Friday the Champion Lakes Triathlon takes place. Both events are very well received opportunities by our children. They are demanding competitions and I admire the many children involved. Many thanks to Rob Flexman, supported by Sylvia Ryan and Julie Catherall for making these events available to our children.
Our P & F invite applications for their Executive and Committee for 2022. An effective P & F plays an important role int he life of a school. Please give their invitation some thought.
Today is World Teachers Day! It would be lovely if you had a moment to express your appreciation to the teachers of your children! It means a lot! Thank you.
Have a great weekend

2022 HIGH SCHOOL DESTINATIONS
St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers
Christmas for many of us is a time of happiness and celebration as we gather with our family and friends sharing meals, laughing and chatting as we open presents. However, for people experiencing poverty and disadvantage, Christmas can be a challenging time. The Vinnies Christmas Appeal encourages the community to rethink their priorities at Christmas time by helping to give joy and hope to those who need it most.
We are seeking your support through the donation of non-perishable food items. This will enable us to provide families and individuals who turn to St Vincent de Paul over this period with Christmas hampers so they too can share in the joy of Christmas.
Suggested items:
- Christmas cakes/puddings/cookies/mince pies
- Chocolates/candies/nuts/ snacks/ nibbles
- Christmas stockings for children
- Soft drinks/juices
- Long life milk/cream
- Long life custards (pouring, not powder)
- Tinned ham/fish/fruit/vegetables
- Jams/honey/pickles
- Bon Bons/crackers
- Baby products
No fresh fruits/vegetables. No meats
All items will be collected in each classroom and donated to St Vincent de Paul on Friday

LIBRARY NEWS
All the horse books are on display in the Library this week ready for Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday. We have also started loaning our beautiful Christmas books. These books deserve as much airtime as possible and the students have loved seeing their old friends again. All library books will need to be returned in week 6 this term. This allows me to follow up lost and damaged books and tidy up the library in week 7 and 8 ready for 2022. Thanks for your support and please contact me if you have any queries.
Have a lovely weekend.
