Did you know that about 10% of our students are members of the National Honor Society? Because of the incredible impact that these students have on our community, we found out this week that our NHS chapter was given the Service Award of Excellence for their work in 2024. We were one of only two schools in Washington State to receive this recognition! What a well-deserved testament to our kids and our NHS advisor, Mrs. Erin Anderson.

The class of 2026 is hosting a trivia night fundraiser in January and it's designed for adults. The students will serve refreshments and host the trivia game. We hope to see you there

Beginning junior year, students have the opportunity to take classes through Running Start or Pierce County Skills Center. The decision to take classes through Running Start or Pierce County Skills Center is a decision unique to your student and your family. February- Apply to the college and follow the steps from the college in your CTC link account

March-May- Schedule an appointment to meet with your counselor for your EVF information (Parent/Guardian needs to attend). Students must complete steps 1-4 before meeting with your counselor. Steps are found on page 4 of the Running Start Informational Packet.

June- Register for classes at the college and tell your high school counselor what your college schedule is

Graduation is just six months away and it’s time to finalize your cap and gown ordering. If you have not already ordered, we are suggesting that you order soon.

• Order via www.jostens.com
• When: By February 28, 2025 to potentially receive your order with the first initial delivery event.

The delivery events generally happen at the end of March, or the beginning of April at your school. Jostens will send you an email notification advising of the pick up date. Keep in mind if you are borrowing or using a previous cap and gown, you will still need to order the class stole and souvenir tassel only located under the cap and gown section.

• Class rings can be ordered at www.jostens.com they have a current lead time of 8 weeks.
• Varsity / Letter Jackets for all classes can be ordered at www.jostens.com they have a lead time of 8 – 10 weeks.
