We are incredibly grateful to our amazing PTA and Longwood community for showering our staff with generosity and kindness during Teacher Appreciation Week! From heartfelt notes to delicious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, your support made our team feel truly valued and celebrated.
π΅ Longwood Chorus Performs at Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, May 17th! π¦
Celebrate a day of creativity at the Fine Arts Fest on Saturday, May 17th at Metea Valley High School! Enjoy a showcase of student artwork on display throughout the day, and donβt miss the Longwood Chorus in their final performance of the school year at 3:30 PM on the Auditorium Stage.
Chorus Members: Please arrive at 2:30 PM and meet in Band Room A105 for rehearsal. Wear your chorus shirt, black pants or bottoms, and dark shoes.
Come out and support our talented artists and musicians β we canβt wait to see you there!
π Our next PTA meeting is this May 13th at 7pm. We will be voting on our annual Gifts To School; please attend if you want to offer your input!
π What an AMAZING week celebrating our treasured Longwood teachers and staff! With the warmer weather, fresh air, and friends to walk with, itβs a great way to start the day strong!

Longwood Staff ensure a safe and supportive walk each morning and afternoon.
Students are picked up and dropped off at designated stops in the Longwood Neighborhood.
We're thrilled to add new students each day!
Daily participation is not required, call the office to share your child's arrival/dismissal schedule.

General Information:
- You must be a legal district resident to enroll in IPSD
- Your child should be five years old on or before September 1, 2025
- The school day is from 9:05 β 3:35, 9:15 β 3:35 on Wednesday

Registration officially opens May 1st and this presentation includes an information sheet to get on our mailing list! If on the list, families will receive information about exciting upcoming events, including some just for our future kindergarten learners!
Health Examination and Immunization Requirements:
- Proof of the required state of Illinois physical examination and immunizations needs to be submitted by October 15, 2025
- Oral health examination needs to be submitted by May 15, 2026
- Vision examination needs to be submitted by October 15, 2025
- Health Forms may be found on our district website
Indian Prairie School Districtβs online registration is OPEN!
Have a child who will be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2025? Apply for Indian Prairie School District's Pre-school Program! Additional support services such as Speech or Occupational Therapy may be available, too, for students eligible after screening. Fee waivers and financial assistance options are available.
