Be Part of the Tucson Korea Ambassador Program!
We are looking for a few good host families for the Tucson Korea Ambassador Program (TKAP)! This wonderful cultural exchange initiative connects TUSD with South Korea and has impacted thousands of students over the past 15 years. As one of the most successful programs of its kind, TKAP fosters a deeper global cultural awareness and helps prepare students to become future leaders.
If you're interested in hosting a student who will be attending Dodge Middle School, please reach out to Ms. Lee. She can provide you with all the benefits and guidelines for hosting.
Contact Ms. Lee at yoon.lee@tusd1.org or call 520-232-8674. Join us in making a difference through cultural exchange!
Community Partner Spotlight | Children’s Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona
We are excited to spotlight our incredible collaboration with the Children's Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona. Through our partnership, we have been able to deliver empowering and impactful Guiding Good Choices Class, which provides essential support and education for parents. Guiding Good Choices equips families with invaluable information and tools designed to safeguard preteens and teens from potential risks. By the end of the program, parents not only learn how to conduct family meetings to share the lessons they have learned but also to plan enjoyable family activities. This regular quality time fosters strong bonds, promotes health, and integrates the skills learned in the program into everyday family life. Geared towards families with children aged 9 to 14 (or in fourth through eighth grade), this program will be offered at all four resource centers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Children's Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona for their unwavering commitment to our community and for the invaluable support they provide to our students and parents. We invite you to visit their website to learn more about their mission: https://www.cacsoaz.org/
