Good People,
Ms Bigelow has been named the finalist for Robbinsdale Teacher of the Year!
Sophie Bigelow, school counselor, is a finalist for Robbinsdale Teacher of the Year. Sophie was nominated by students at Plymouth Middle School (PMS) who recognized the significant contribution she has made in her time here.
Ms. Sophie, as the students call her, is a compassionate educator who helps our students navigate the rigors of middle school whether they need help with academics, self advocacy, social emotional learning, or anything a student needs to have a great experience at PMS.
Assistant Principal Mike Bury says, "I'm glad our students took time to nominate her. Sophie is humble and doesn't seek accolades, but this is well-deserved. I see her connecting with students and making a positive impact every day. As a parent, I can't imagine someone I would rather have work with my kids. We're lucky to have her at PMS."
Congratulations, Ms Bigelow!!
In Partnership,
Principal Naida

Share your thoughts about this fall’s levy referendum in short survey
We’re asking staff and families for a few moments to respond to a five-question survey about this fall’s capital technology levy.
Things to know:
- Voters will be asked in November to renew a capital technology levy that would provide our schools with about $7 million annually for another ten years.
- This funding is currently used for student learning devices, school technology, online learning systems, and digital teaching resources.
- The District would also use these funds in 2025-2026 to enhance safety and security at district schools, including secured entrances and security cameras.
- The district proposes to keep the tax rate the same.
- If voters do not approve the renewal, the School District will lose $7 million in funding and need to make cuts to technology and District operations in the 2025-2026 school year.
Thank you for your time. Please respond to the survey before Thursday, June 6.
