FRiES Reading Program

Read. Imagine. Grow.

The last week of the FRiES (Fernbrook Reading Is Essential Schoolwide) is here. Make sure that your child tracks the minutes they read at home (not including homework) and fill out an online form. The form will open for Week #4 this Thursday (2/27) at 7:00 AM and will close Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11:59 PM. This is the last week to submit minutes to be invited to our FRiES Movie Night Celebration on March 7, 2024. An email will be sent to those who have submitted minutes with the registration form.

Save the Date: Spring Scholastic Book Fair

Your child will attend the book fair (March 10, 2025- March 14, 2025) during the week with their class. Cash or eWallet is accepted. We will have evening hours on during Parent/Teacher Conferences (Credit Cards will be accepted during evening hours and conference times, only)

Teachers will be creating Wish Lists of books for their classrooms. Feel free to stop by during the evening hours to purchase these items or send your child in with an extra donation.

Interested in assisting with the Book Fair during your child's classroom time and/or conference times? We will be sending out Volunteer information and the sign up form next week! In the meantime, make sure you are an active PTO Member this year in order to participate.

Thank You: Annual Fernbrook Hero Dance

Thank you to all of our Fernbrook Friends and Families that came out to enjoy our Second Annual Fernbrook Hero Dance event. Fun was had by all during our event which included our amazing DJ: Revo, a photo booth, snacks, making our "Why We Love Fernbrook" Banner, dancing, laughing and so much more. It was great to witness so many members of our community coming together and having a memorable experience.

An extra big thank you to all the volunteers that made it happen! Our team worked round the clock leading up to make it an amazing event: Brittany Bassett, Sarah Carney, Susan Cece, Daniela Comprelli, Jackie Laurice, and Samantha Skokandich - you all are the very best! Also thank you to some of our parents who volunteered during the event to help the committee make the magic happen: The RHS Key Club Members, Ana Delavera, Jason and Jaimie Pasterick, Loren Darzano, Nahid Godleski, Stephanie Levin, Evelyn Salvo, Jimmy Bassett, Kevin Skokandich, Dana Pineiro, Bryan Pineiro, Nina Lifshey, Ms. Groome, Ms. Emberger and Ms. Kest.
