RCHS Counseling Department Newsletter - May 2024

2024-2025 Schedule Changes

Schedule changes for rising 10-12th grade students will take place on Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st from 11:30-2:45. These will be the only 2 days offered for schedule changes.

Summer School

Registration for Summer School is now open through June 3, 2024. New for this year, Summer School courses will have a cost due at enrollment. All in-person and online courses will cost $300.00 per course and are available to all current 9th-12th grade RCHS students seeking to retrieve credits and/or get back on track toward graduation. SAT Prep

Campus Prep is an SAT program offering an online summer course for any students interested in SAT prep.

Course Info.

27-hour comprehensive course, including 3 proctored practice exams
Starts in June and runs for 7 weeks online
Taught by a live expert instructor

Costs $185

Students who complete the course often increase their score by over 200 points

Social/Emotional

Supporting students in developing skills to address a wide variety of topics including peer conflict, communication, self-advocacy, mental health, motivation and more.

ROAR (Regional Officers of Admissions of the Rockies) Summer Search Series 2024

Regional admissions counselors from a variety of institutions across the nation meet at libraries on the front range to provide college search programming for high school students as part of the Summer College Search Series. Each event features a 30-minute panel where college admissions experts answer your questions about the college search, financial aid, essays, and more! After the panel, visit the college fair to ask any questions you have about specific institutions in attendance. High school students and their support systems are invited to attend.

Volunteer for ESY (Extended School Year)
