Athletic Events
BRMS Archery Club
BRMS Archery Club will begin on Monday, February 24, for seventh grade students, and on Thursday, February 27, for eighth grade students in the BRMS cafeteria from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Archery equipment will be provided for student use. Please make arrangements for your student’s transportation after practice. See Mr. Allstatter (Mr. Donald) if you have questions.
BRMS Cheer Block
The BRMS girls basketball teams will host Knightstown Intermediate on Wednesday, February 26, with a start time of 6:00 p.m. Cheer Block members in attendance will receive a megaphone to cheer the Lady Cubs to a victory!
The BRMS wrestling team will host New Castle Middle School at RCHS on Thursday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. Cheer block members who wear their Cheer Block shirt to school will receive a treat bag!
BRMS Girls Basketball
The girls basketball home game vs Knightstown on Wednesday, February 26, will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Eighth grade team members will play the first four quarters, followed by the seventh grade team playing two quarters due to a low number of players on the Knightstown team.
Rush County Youth Soccer
Rush County Youth Soccer spring league registration is available this year for the following ages:
U11: 2014-2016
U13: 2012-2013
U15: 2010-2011
Rush County Youth Soccer is a travel soccer program that plays against other area soccer teams, such as Fayette County, Henry County, Union County, and more. The furthest we travel is about an hour to Richmond and Dela.ware County. We utilize experienced coaches to help players develop strong technical skills while teaching them more tactical aspects of soccer.

Spring Sports Sign-Up
BRMS spring sport sign-up sheets are located in the Athletic Office behind the stage in the cafeteria. Please stop by and sign up for a spring team if you are interested in participating. Spring sport teams include golf, tennis, track and field, baseball, and softball. You must have a physical on file to participate in any sport.
After School Weights
After school weights for BRMS athletes will be held on Mondays from 3:40 to 5:00 p.m., and on
Wednesdays from 2:45 to 4:00 p.m. Participating students may ride Bus 51 to RCHS, and students must be picked up by parents from RCHS after weight training.
BRMS Wrestling
Jeff Ernstes, driver of Bus 51, will transport BRMS athletes to RCHS for wrestling and weights after
school. Athletes participating in wrestling should ride Bus 51 to RCHS as practices and meets are
scheduled.

You must have a current physical on file at BRMS in order to participate in any sport. Physical forms are available in the sports information kiosk in the lobby, along with athletic schedules and calendars. Please see Mrs. Maranda Marcum, Mr. Brown, or Mr. Sliger in the athletic office behind the stage in the cafeteria if you have questions about BRMS athletics.

Changes to ILEARN for the 2024-2025 School Year
Please note that BRMS has opted to help the state pilot new changes for the ILEARN state assessment. Instead of taking one end-of-year assessment, we will take 3 checkpoint assessments through the year and then the end-of year assessment. Please see this FLYER with more parent information and links to resources from the Indiana Department of Education.
Lions Shack Food Pantry
The Lions Shack Food Pantry located at RCHS will now be open twice a month (except for January) on the first and third Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The pantry is open for all teachers, staff, and
families who attend or work in Rush County Schools.
