FOC Cardinal Grant Program
The FOC Cardinal Grant Program is OPEN for the 24/25 Schoolyear!
The Friends of Cleveland Cardinal Grant Program is open for SY24/25 applications. While these grants are typically requested by teachers and staff at Cleveland it is open to parents and community members who would like to address a need they see, propose an after school program, etc. These grants are only possible through the wonderful donations of our generous community. Please continue to spread the word that Friends of Cleveland and community support helps close the gap!
Halloween on the Green: Time to TREAT our students!
Friends of Cleveland invites you to set up a table at our annual Halloween on the Green event!
Halloween on the Green is one of our families’ favorite events of the entire year; it is a well attended trunk-or-treat style gathering. Instead of cars we have local businesses, organizations, community members, and families set up tables on our soccer field to pass out treats to our students.
This is a free event for anyone who attends our school. We expect to have 500-550 students attend this event. Set up will begin at 1pm and hosts should be ready by 2pm. Our school’s Cluster program students will attend the event at 2:15pm to allow for a less crowded experience. The rest of the students will join us at 3:15pm when school ends.
If you have any questions or would like to sign up for a table please email us at

Our Mission
Friends of Cleveland is a not-for-profit organization of engaged parents, community members, teachers, and school administrators dedicated to supporting Grover Cleveland Elementary through fundraising and community-building efforts. The funds raised by the FOC help to supplement the costs for teachers, programs, field trips, supplies and other essentials that enrich the lives of Cleveland Elementary students.
Mission Statement
Friends of Cleveland is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created to raise, receive and administer funds for the benefit of Grover Cleveland Elementary. We are committed to enabling the school’s mission of providing each student a diverse education in a supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation, and educational excellence in order to prepare the students to be caring, capable, and responsible members of a global community. We believe in stronger neighborhoods through stronger education.
Build Community
Friends of Cleveland humbly strives to be a meaningful member of the school community. FOC regularly hosts events to bring together students, parents and staff for celebrations, spirit building and enrichment opportunities.
Build Support
The Cardinal Nest Egg sponsorship program provides opportunities for local businesses — both community and parent-owned — to get involved with and give to our school in a meaningful way.
Raise Funds
FOC was formed in 2018 with the intention to raise funds to offset the cost of a high quality public education. Great teachers and administrators build the best schools when they have the resources they need.
How FOC supports Cleveland Elementary
The spending priorities of FOC are set through a cooperative relationship with the school administration, which determines the needs of the school, request the necessary supplemental funds and direct how those funds will be spent.
