Engage. Educate. Empower.
Volume 3 ~ Issue 28 ~ Week of March 9, 2025
๐ Message from the Principal ๐
Vikings, we need your help! Recently, weโve seen an increase in negative behaviors on campus, many of which stem from students spreading rumors, instigating conflicts, and social media posts. This type of behavior creates unnecessary drama, disrupts learning, and damages friendships. Our school is a place where every student should feel safe and supported, and we will not tolerate actions that bring others down. Many of our students want to be treated like young adults, with more independence and responsibility. However, itโs hard to do that when some are acting like young childrenโstirring up drama, spreading gossip, and creating problems instead of solving them. Maturity isnโt about age; itโs about actions. As a result, we will be having a sit-down lunch for the next two days.
Parents, we ask for your partnership in addressing this issue. Please have conversations with your child about the impact of rumors and social media drama. Encourage them to be kind, think before they speak or post, and seek adult help if they have concerns instead of fueling conflict. Remind them that true leadership comes from lifting others up, not tearing them down. Please also frequently check their social media and text messages as 99% of the issues stem from conversations between students in those areas. Together, we can reinforce the importance of respect, kindness, and maturity to ensure our school remains a positive and welcoming place for all. Thank you for your support!
