Dear Linden Elementary Community,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as I am proudly joining your school community. My name is Dave Filson and I am the new assistant principal at Linden Elementary. I am honored to have this opportunity to lead this school alongside Mr. Testani and the rest of the teachers and staff here at Linden.

My career started in Princeton, New Jersey where I taught for five years. Fortunately, I was able to come to Central Bucks School District where I taught 5th and 6th grade for the last six years at Butler Elementary. Also, I had the opportunity to be an assistant football coach at CB West for the last 3 seasons.

My philosophy of education is one that has always been centered around holistic development. This approach recognizes the interconnectedness of intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. I have always believed that our jobs as educators is to maximize our student’s potential and aim at cultivating well rounded individuals who are prepared to contribute to society in a meaningful way.

While my career is important to me, none of it would be possible without the unwavering support of my wife Kristen. We have been extremely blessed with 3 beautiful children Cole, Carter, and Kyla. We are expecting one more (THE LAST ONE) in October. Our two dogs, Nova and Dawkins, love keeping us on our toes with their endless energy. As a family we love playing sports, going to the beach, playing outside, and of course watching our Eagles and Phillies.

I believe that strong home and school partnerships are vital to student success, so please feel free to reach out to me if there is ever anything that you need. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your student(s) soon!

The LHSA will be providing a welcome back lunch to our teachers and staff at Linden on Thursday, August 29th at 12 pm. Please consider signing up to help us show our appreciation for our wonderful teachers and staff at Linden! In addition to the items listed below, the LHSA will be providing sandwich trays to be served with the lunch. Please drop off all perishable items at the Linden office on August 29th before 11 am. Non-perishable items can be dropped off at the office prior to the 29th.

You will not be able to access your student's bus assignments or schedules until updating your information at www.cbsd.org/parentportal.

To begin, navigate to the menu, select “more” and then “Annual Student Information Update.” Completing the update will allow you to access student bus assignments when they are released on Monday, August 19 at 9 a.m. and 7-12 student schedules when they are released on Friday, August 23 at 8 a.m. Elementary information was made available in early August.

If you have moved, please make sure you update your address with Central Registration. The office can be reached at 267-893-2111 or centralregistration@cbsd.org.

Dear Central Bucks Families:

The 1 to 1 fee payment system is open today, August 14th. All CB students will either receive a device this year or continue to use the device that was issued last year. Please know that the 7th and 10th grade laptops are in route to our schools from Lenovo. They should arrive this week. Information about distribution will be coming from your principal.

Please Note: If your child is in need of financial assistance, Free and Reduced Meals applications are open and available here: MySchoolApps-Home Page. A child’s financial status for a technical fee waiver is determined by their lunch status. We highly encourage all families that think they may qualify to apply! Please note we will retroactively apply a credit to your account in MyPaymentsPlus if your child qualifies for a fee waiver.
