Weekly Update
August 8th, 2023

February 10-14, 2025
Message From the Principal
Lots of events and reminders this week as we go into League Tournaments for Basketball and Wrestling.
Continue checking in with your students on grades and missing assignments. As always we have ASAP Monday-Thursday until 4:30pm to provide students with extra support on any of their work.
Student Led Conferences will be coming up on February 17th. Advisory teachers will send out sign ups for your to pick a time that works best for you and your student. We do understand that life can get busy if you are not able to make it but another adult can attend in your place that would be great. The purpose is to allow our students the opportunity to have a time to showcase what they have been working on this year, what they have learned about themselves as they have worked through Xello, goals they might have for the rest of the year and future years as well as careers they have some interest in learning more about. We hope that you take the time to sign up and attending these conferences with your child. Students will be given a grade on the completion of their presentation, if they are unable to attend on the 17th they will select an adult in the building to present their information to.
Student Services Coordinator- Ms. Andrews
8th Grade Parents:
Next week, Mrs. Jensen, our Student Services Coordinator at JWHS, will be meeting with 8th grade students to help them prepare for 9th grade enrollment. While students won’t be selecting their courses just yet, Mrs. Jensen will guide them through the enrollment process and what to expect. Please keep an eye out for more information regarding the enrollment process and course offerings.
News from Nurse Abby and Nurse Kelsey
A stomach bug, strep and other illnesses have been reported in our schools. We are taking additional measures to stop the spread here at school and ask you to do the same at home. Ways to do this include covering your cough, washing hands, and staying home when ill. Students are required to stay home and may not return until 24 hours after fever, throwing up, or diarrhea free without the use of fever reducing medication. Reminder: we cannot medicate for symptoms of illness.
