I hope everyone has had a nice long weekend. We are definitely entering the Fall season, with today and yesterday's weather. Students and staff continue to settle into the school year, there is a lot of learning happening and everyone is working very hard. I'm looking forward to our annual Trunk or Treat event, it really makes me smile seeing everyone dressed up and having a good time.

On an important note, if your student has a cell phone, please remind them to keep the phone in their backpacks while at school, as well as on the bus ride to and from school; this goes for smart watches as well. I understand phones and watches are for safety purposes, they are also quite a distraction to the students. Again, if your student has a phone or smart watch please ask them to keep them in their backpacks.

Lastly, I want to remind you to stay involved in your child's education. Attend school events, communicate with teachers, and stay engaged in their learning journey. Your support is crucial to their success.

To better estimate the demand for lunches on half days, CPS Nutrition utilizes online lunch ordering for HALF DAYS ONLY.

For the upcoming half day Wednesday 9/18/24 orders must be received by Friday 9/13/24.

If you would like your child to have lunch on future half days, the online ordering is open for you to go ahead and select those dates.

Directions to set up your account and order:

1. URL Link: family.onlineordering.linq.com
2. Sign up now: Email, create password.
3. School District: Chelmsford Public Schools
4. Student ID: This can be found on x2- Child’s student ID number
5. Last Name: (You can also search and add siblings/family members at this time). Once this is completed, the student's name should appear on the page.

How to order meals

1. School Menu-select online lunch ordering (all schools)
2. Scroll to week of half day/early release date (top right of page)
3. Find date, select meal option
4. Add item to cart/Select Add to order
5. Click on shopping cart icon at top right of page
6. Click Check out
7. Select pick up location: Elementary pick-up location classroom. Middle/high school pick up location cafeteria.
8. Place order

I want to thank everyone for your support for our 1st annual walk-a-thon! It was the perfect day to hold this event, the students and staff loved their time on the track!

Trunk or Treat Candy Donations started Monday, October 7 🍭

Help us make our Trunk or Treat event a success by donating a bag or two of candy or other goodies*! A collection monster is out in the lobby of the main building and we will be collecting up to the event. Have your student drop the donation in the monster on their way into school. Thank you for your generosity!

*Pencils, stickers, tattoos, or other age-appropriate items will also be accepted!

Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 19 4pm-6pm* 🎃

Food trucks! Bake sale! Crafts! Oh my! Oh, and most importantly, trunk or treat! Save the date - you don’t want to miss this event! Come in your costumes! Enjoy some music, crafts, and trunk or treat. Come hungry and enjoy some yummy food from Donali Food Truck and Tacos Los Compas!

We’re looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks (at no charge to you), provide some delicious treats for our bake sale, and volunteer for setup and breakdown of the event. We can’t do this without you! Please consider signing up for one of the options below to make this a successful event.

Dine to Donate Thursday, October 24 🍕

HPTO is holding a fundraiser with Sal’s Pizza at 296 Chelmsford Street, Chelmsford, MA. The fundraiser is on Thursday, October 24 from 11am to 8pm, which also happens to be a half day! 15% of your order will come back to the HPTO to be used for future programming. Vouchers must be present at time of purchase, and are valid for walk-in or phone orders, so be on the lookout for paper flyers and digital copies on our Facebook page or on Link Tree.
