SCACTE
November 2024
Sad news to share...
SCACTE family,
Today on November 23, Ray & Marcelle Boland's daughter, Michelle, passed away from a long battle with cancer.
Michelle was a vital part of our SCACTE family behind the scenes helping the Boland's with many tasks that kept our organization going. She assisted in processing memberships, running financial reports, among many other tasks. She cared about each and every division and we are thankful for her dedication during that time.
Please keep Ray, Marcelle and their family in your prayers.
Michelle requested that no formal funeral. Memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, PO Box 198, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Army and SC ACTE future Partnership!
Many high schools across the state have a Career and Technical Education (CTE) component to them. The Army would like to partner with these schools to discuss the many civil service opportunities aligned with CTE career fields like its Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) which allows young men and women to enlist in the Army at a higher pay grade in certain trade occupations. We has multiple job opportunities and training from culinary arts to IT, mechanical, and nursing both full- and part-time. For instances, students who enlist in the Army reserves (part-time), train, acquire leadership skills and return home with training and experience that positions them for a better paying job. As a reservist not only to students continuing to serve their country in a part-time status they can further expand their trade by utilizing their education benefits via tuition assistance, Post 9-11 GI bill, credentialing and much more.
If you are interested in learning more about these or other educational services available free of charged to schools and students, contact your state Education Services Specialist, Shantelle James, at Shantelle.n.james.civ@army.mil or (803) 904-0437, to learn more.
