CME PTO Weekly

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. In this holiday season, we are grateful for you all (our CME community) and your generosity. We appreciate how you support our fundraising efforts throughout the year. Your funds help support enrichment activities for our students such as field trips.

Here are a few ways our students and staff are appreciative of you all and your generosity.

SCRIPS is an easy and great way to show how much you appreciate the teachers and staff who make Copper Mesa a great place for your child. Through SCRIPS, you can contribute funds towards gift cards that are then given to teachers and staff along with all the contributions from other families.

This program will be open until December 5th, in order to give us time to order and distribute the gift cards.

How to use SCRIPS:

1) First complete the Google form below by filling out who you would like to make donations to (in increments of $5). Determine your total donation amount and type it in at the bottom of the form. Total donation amount includes donations for Adopt-a-Families. Submit the Google Form

Are you planning a classroom holiday party? Need it to be easy? MyClassroomParty has a winter party box geared for grades K-2nd and it comes with everything! See graphic for more details.

On Monday, your child will bring home a few snowflakes in their folder. Just like we did with the leaves during conference week, we will hang these snowflakes on the trees on the bulletin board outside the cafeteria from now until Winter Break. If you’d like, please write a kind message to a teacher, staff member or friend on the snowflakes and leave them in the basket by the bulletin board, and we will staple them up each day. There are currently a bunch of blank snowflakes over there, ready to go! Thank you for helping to spread some winter cheer in the school!

You can also share the love of caffeine and carbs from the SSN Coffee Cart with those who teach the ones you love! Purchase a Coffee Cart Card and give them the holiday jolt they deserve.

Come enjoy dinner while supporting Copper Mesa! Chick Fil A Spirit night is Wednesday 12/11 5p-8p at the Highlands Ranch Town Center location. 20% of all sales will go back to Copper Mesa.

Spring Fundraiser planning is underway, if you are interested in joining this fun committee, please email cmeapto@gmail.com. Our next planning meeting will be December 16th, after morning dropoff, at the Starbucks on Red Cedar. We will be choosing committee tasks - AND paying for your coffee! - so come get in on the fun!

Also, we need your help! We are looking for donations of auction items, such as sporting tickets (Broncos, Rockies, Buffs, etc), VRBO rentals, etc. If your family has a connection, or you know of a local business owner that may have a connection, and would be interested in a tax deductible donation to CME, please let us know! Got a knack for party planning? Love reaching out to local businesses? Looking to get your hands dirty (We know for a fact there are some interested dads out there!)?

We are always looking for volunteers for Teacher/Staff Appreciation, our Daughter Event, our Son Event, School Beautification, our Spring Fundraiser, etc. If you would like to volunteer with PTO in any way, please let us know.

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.

The purpose of the program:

1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.

KING SOOPERS CARDS

One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.

MILK CAPS FOR MOOLA

We are collecting Longmont Dairy Milk Caps again this year. There is a box near the front office desk where you can deposit them. Thank you!

SPIRIT WEAR

Customizable Spirit Wear is always available at Schmancy Tees and Gifts. Orders take about two weeks and are delivered right to your child’s classroom.
