Hello Alder Families!
March at Alder continues with exciting learning opportunities for growth, and community engagement. This week our students continued to excel inside the classroom, during extracurricular activities and beyond.
This week our students continued to show their musical prowess during the district Band concert. Their hard work, commitment, and musical talent were on full display, captivating the audience with their melodious performances. We commend Mrs. Donchey and her students for representing our school with excellence and dedication.
Our 8th grade students welcomed the High School’s Communication Academy this week. Our students were exposed to the benefits of joining the communication’s academy and the opportunities post graduation. High school juniors and seniors, many of whom were former Alder students, spoke about the benefits of joining the communications academy. They showcased the broadcasting process from start to finish and the importance of the Communications Academy in the day to day communication and public relations for the High School.
As part of our ongoing efforts to promote character development and responsible decision-making, students attended a presentation focused on making good choices. Our students were visited by Atlantic County Prosecutor, William Reynolds. He spoke to the student body about the importance of making good choices in life. Through his interactive discussion and real-life scenarios, he explored the importance of critical thinking, empathy, and integrity in navigating challenges and making positive choices. Thank you Prosecutor Reynolds for the insight and a great presentation!
Congratulations to Alder Avenue for bringing home the trophy during our annual Middle School Volleyball Tournament!!
